Students from LISD Rising Starts Program spend the day at the UT Health San Antonio - Regional Campus

campus EventA total of 30 students spent the day at the Regional Campus this past summer. The students are part of the LISD Rising Stars Program that promote careers in the STEM Field. During this event, the students learned about the Diabetes and Obesity research (CRU), the academic programs offered by the School of Health Professions, and many important topics related to dental and health topics. The community is invited to learn how to "Improve Health and Delay Aging" at a special event featuring healthy tips, hands-on demonstrations and guest speaker Dr. Fernando Sanchez, a Laredo neurologist.
